On Magic PTT Desktop, the SL switch drops you into the emergency shell: a hard cutover to our separate SL servers. Everyday Nexus rooms and Welcome Desk stay on the main network. SL is for when you need the lifeline, not for casual nets.

Keep Starlink or Starlink Mini ready. When terrestrial fiber or local internet is gone, the SL design is you → satellite → our emergency servers. We do not park this path behind a third-party VoIP middleman or a borrowed VPS nose. The emergency path is ours.
